Bin collections cancelled – Friday 1 February – 9.50am update

We have cancelled today’s bin collections because of the overnight snow. While some of the roads are ok, not all of the route is safe.

We will come back early next week to collect your rubbish and recycling, so please put your bins out for collection on Monday morning and we will empty them as soon as we can.

Garden waste collections

If you were due to get your garden waste collected on Friday, unfortunately, we not be returning next week to collect it. This is so that we can use the crews to catch up on the rubbish and recycling collections instead.

If you need extra compostable sacks for your garden waste before your next collection, please contact our customer services team using the contact details on this page and we will provide them free of charge.

Garden waste collections – Monday 4 February

We have cancelled our garden waste collection service in Aldershot on Monday. This is so that we can use the crews to catch up on the bin collections we missed on Friday because of the snow.

Road gritting and salting

Hampshire County Council is responsible for roads and pavements. During bad weather, the county council aims to keep main routes clear. You can find out more on the county council’s severe weather page.

Keeping our services running

Our maintenance team is treating council car parks and our town centres on Thursday late afternoon.

The team will be back at work early on Friday morning to make sure our customers can get access to the Aldershot crematorium, the council offices, leisure facilities and our car parks. If needed, the team will then move onto the town centres.
