Step back in time with a special seaside theme at Victoria Day in Aldershot town centre on Saturday 8 June.
This year, we are bringing the sights and sounds of the Victorian seaside to Aldershot town centre from 10am to 4pm.
Victoria Day is a must-see annual event and the highlight of the town’s calendar.
About Victoria Day
More than 6,000 people visit Aldershot across the day, enjoying more than six hours of free entertainment.
From 10am, the town centre will be transformed into a sea of colourful activity for all the family to enjoy, with performances from local musicians and dancers on the main stage; seaside-themed fun; free children’s crafts; face painting; donkey rides and lots more action-packed activities.
You’ll be able to meet local organisations in the community market and pick up hand-crafted items, gifts and produce from the stalls in Union Street.
At 11am, the grand procession of more than 800 people will create a fantastic atmosphere and everyone is encouraged to line the roads around the town centre to view the parade, show their support and take photos. Volunteers, community groups and organisations from around Aldershot and Farnborough are encouraged to apply to take part.
We have organised this year’s event with the residents of the Aldershot Community Together group and the people of Aldershot to celebrate the town’s close links with Queen Victoria.
Join us this year to bring Victoria Day to life! Apply now to take part in the parade, perform in the bandstand or town centre, have a stall, enter the window dressing competition, sponsor the event, enter the car show or take part in another way.
